I have had some not so nice results with Sprinks,
I made a post here a few months ago about missing funds and a week latter Sprinks did credit my account.
I just used the keyword section for 2 months and got 1 or 2 click throughs a week. With Christmas season coming, I went for a .30 listing in the "fashion" section which gave me a #2 position.
At that time I had a $98.00 balance. In a short 2 week period all of my funds were gone and I had zero sales to show for it.
If I had it to do all over again....NO WAY...

I had a similar experience. Obviously a competitor did not like the keyword we were bidding on at Sprinks, so clicks on that keyword went through the roof.

I complained to Sprinks, they investigated and did credit us after about 14 days.

Still, they should put in place measures to prevent this in the first place. Their system does appear to be quite weak in this respect, and the problem could be fixed very easily.

Sprinks does not to do so well. This is sad, since it is so difficult to get listed on About.com.

similar results here. i posted about it a while back, i believe.

to summarize, we were seeing bot clicks that were EASILY preventable. i brought this to sprink's attention, and they were more interested in making me happy than in fixing the problem.

but, that said, they STILL havent adequately compensated us for the abuse... we're talking 4 digits.

we've recently re-tested them anyway (looking for other options besides Overture) and the results have been equally poor. you'd think there would be incentive for these Overture competitors to get their act together, wouldnt you?

Sprinks has paid off but has extremely questionable behavior and activity. Their behavior is so questionable that they recently had to award one of my accounts $300.00 due to false clicks that I was unable to track with our tracking statistics. When asked about these clicks they chose not to discuss this and of course gave a preformed letter describing how they do everything possible to protect our advertising dollars.

It gets worse. We recently deposited money (today 3-18-02) for further advertising (it took over 16 hours during their work day -Monday-before are account was credited for our deposit. Once initiated a small amount was clicked on but despite the premium guide listings I purchased and maintained (top 5 in several areas-these were never ever posted. I received no because we were sent no traffic because of I believe either continued unfair practice by Sprinks personnel or because they are having severe technical difficulties.

So, in answer to your question-there are definitely qualifed customers at About, but there are definitely questionable practices occuring, and there are clicks that definitely shouldn't be happening.

We just started spending money at Sprinks again after we were credited the $300.00 but we'll have to give this site up if they don't get 'professional' and soon!

Well I have another sad story with Sprinks. We just started using them about a week ago and we deposited $100.00. On one day we blew through $50.00 with about 10 keywords. Low and behold a lot of the traffic and money was going to clickheretofind.com (part of Sprinks or affiliated with them). clickheretofind.com was an added item that could have been added for traffic, but I didn't. I e-mailed Sprinks and they told me it was a glitch and yesterday I got $39.00 added as a gift from Sprinks. Today clickheretofind.com is still listing my slipper store and low and behold another $39.00 went out at $.20 a click on their mainpage. Totally unbuying Traffic. 14% of my traffic this week came from this clickheretofind.com/parse.php3 - 418 visitors. That is great, but often times I click on crap just because it is on the main page. So Sprinks is getting us a ton of traffic, but it sure isn't targeted traffic. I have spent almost $150.00 in a week and have yet to see that come back from Sprinks...or even close. I am not 100% sure this is what I am looking for in a PPC SE.

sprinks has proved to be a waste of money, absolutely no ROI.
