Hi zechariah,

ROI - Return on Investment.

PPC - Pay per Click.

Roi is a revenue profit analysis necessary to justify costs of net adventures, concerning PT (position tech - inktomi), PPC (GOTO), Directory listings (Yahoo, Looksmart.com partners) and what ever industry specific engines that you what listed in. ROI = Is it worth it ?

PPC as billy stated are pay per clicks, where you would goto GOTO for example, and bid on keywords, phrases on a per click basis, hence for something obscure, its $0.05 (which is the cheapest), but your imagination can take you to what you could possibly pay for more competitive search terms. Back to ROI = are you going to get the conversion from mere traffic coming through you site to sale's.

I personally don't bother with PPC's at the moment, but may change, will keep an eye on who go's PPC.

GOTO is the biggy at the Mo !
