GoTo and Doorway Pages

Are these acceptable?

A client with a frames website wants to create doorway pages for PPC listings at goto? Does anyone know if GoTo would accept such doorway pages?

Yes I read all that, does not say, "thou shalt not create special pages to submit to goto" :)
I personally don't "do" doorways or goto, so am a bit stuck.

The bottom line is that since your bidding for position at goto a doorway page isn't going to help. If your talking about using duplicate pages for tracking that's not a problem. Goto actually encourages this...

We recommend that all of our advertisers use tracking URLs on all of their advertising. After all, your budget and the success of your business are important to you. Tracking URLs can work on any site where a click is used as a measurement. Once you have a tracking URL for all of your advertising buys, you'll be able to do an equal and balanced comparison among each of the advertising vendors to determine which works best for you. And those sites are the ones where you should continue to advertise. Remember, keep your eye on the bottom line!

OK thanks, the problem is the frames site and the fact that submitting inner page is not going to look good as there is no nav.
Thanks for the help all.

With a framed site it is worth using javascript on the interior pages in order to 'bounce' the browser up to the master frameset.

If you use the search facility you should be able to find a posting somewhere that tells you how, if not I can sticky you with the code (don't have it to hand at present)

Or you could always build a duplicate frameset showing the same pages, and submit that to the GOTO bid system. Probably worth doing both.

Hope that helps.

I say build the doorway and submitted it.
The worse they can do is reject it and then you are on to plan B.
