Best PPC Other Than Goto

What PPC service would you recommend when Goto is out of the question?

I have a client with a low budget that wants to do some PPC marketing on very competitive keywords. I use Goto exclusively, and I'm not to familiar with the other services. (I'm a web designer more than a SEO guy)

So my question is this: Next to Goto, what is the next best PPC service? Sprinks? Find What? Are there other good ones? Opinions welcomed :)

You can try Findwhat, GoClick and Pageseeker with much lower campaign budget.

You also might consider buying traffic from some of the SEOs in the forum that work on a PPC basis. The conversions are usually very good since all the traffic comes from standard engines like Google.

espotting has more clout these days. The top 5 now appears on Lycos, Hotbot, NTL, UK Plus - and others.

admittedly better for targeting UK users but some mileage for our US cousins due to the Lycos and hotbot connection.

Thanks folks! Great site PPCAnalyst - very informative!

I think I'm going to try FindWhat for now. Is there anything else I should be aware of with FindWhat? Do they have a minimum monthly spend like Goto does?

Outtatheblue, you can also try Google AdWords. That's the search engine that draws the most traffic generally and it can be done with a low budget.

Marcia's right that adwords can bring some nice targeted traffic.

If you are new to this, adwords is pay per view and not PPC. We manage accounts at adwords and manitain a 5% CTR

Outtatheblue,

FindWhat.com currently has no minimum monthly spend

… and from my past discussions with them I do not foresee
this in their future.

They run an affiliate program, paying per new advertiser sign up, make sure that any "reviews" you read are as independent as possible.

Seo conversions are 0better in my experience. My guess is that conversion rates are 2-3 fold better than Goto. Traffic is not only targetted, it eliminates all the 'client poaching' and fluff traffic that goes on with the ppcs. Cost per click should drop to the low single digits.

This may sound like a dumb question, but what is "SEO Conversion"?

Conversion from pages that rank using PURE search engine optimization.

Outtatheblue,

NFFC is correct...

FindWhat.com does have an affiliate program,
paying per new advertiser sign up

… just as every other Pay Per Click Search
Engine

Thanks everybody. I think I'm going to try FindWhat just out of curiosity, and I think I'm definately going to try Google AdWords. I didn't realize how affordable that option was. Thanks for the suggestions!
