I have a site that is listed with GoTo, and with Postion Tech.

In my logs I see keyword hits from MSN that are off subject I.E. My Mother the Car.

Targeted Keyword.(example) Car Tires
Keyword returns: Cartoons, Carbon, Carrys Diner, and some even farther off.

If they are Position Tech (Inktomi) driven, its ok, but if they are GoTo driven its a taking advantage of PPC charges.

I have been trying to track the clicks, but MSN has cloaked (no better way of explaining it) the referring search.

These searches could also come from free listings so I am not accusing MSN of anything (cma), yet I am Totally Confused with these Referals.

Has anyone experienced these odd referalls?

It's next to impossible to back track some of those MSN referrers. Between the various search boxes, active-x searches, and the IE search panel, they can hide that referrer. I think it is the prime reason SEO'ers don't focus on MSN that much since you have no way to gauge performance.
