How long does it take for Goto results to show up in Altavista?

The moment your PPC listings are in the GoTo DB they should show on all GoTo partner sites (provided your rankings/bids put you in the window of sites which should be shown).

Not ever. Sometimes AV doesn't list GoTo pauid listing, expecially it the bid is at the minimum.

If the GoTo server is running SLOW their partner sites will skip the results in order to provide the surfer with a SERP in a timely manner.

I think AV doesn't display featured sites when there are less than 3 advertisers on GoTo. Is it right?

Some of my more obscure search bids have only one listing within the bids, they are showing on AV

I'm happy for yours, mine are not showed when are less than 3, I don't know why may be there are some problems with Altavista, can you make me an example for a listing so I try to search from my PC so I can check if it's an error of my AV?
thanks

Well, thanks for your input, but it appears we have some conflicting info. AV has to handle Goto results somehow... Does anyone know for sure? Even if they're only getting a couple cents per obscure search keyword, wouldn't that make sense? I'm sure it would add up for an engine as big as AV...

Dear Outtatheblue,
it seems that AV is not working well on displaying featured sites, if on GoTo site is written "reach 75% of all internet's users" with the logos of AV,Lycos, Netscape, Aol ecc.. it means there is an agreement between GoTo and these engines isn't it? So Av must show the featured sites even if there is only one listing on GoTo.

wolfy (Power to the people! - I've been dying to say that as the nickname wolfy comes from an old British comedy show & that was his catchphrase)

I've looked into this some more and it would appear AV.co.uk shows goto bids even if there is only one bid placed with goto (skicky sent) AV.com only shows goto bids if 2 or more bids are placed (skicky sent).

I have some bids with Goto.com that are the only bids placed and they are not showing on AV.com
