Subject: Mamma.com -- Available Keyword Opportunity

Mamma.com, The Mother of All Search Engines, has the keyword "blah+blah+blah*" currently available.

A premium placement campaign with Mamma.com, the web's largest meta-search engine, will maximize your exposure to millions of new unique users. Mamma.com presently reaches 60% of all searchers on the Internet with 7 million monthly unique users and an additional 50 million monthly unique users available through our distribution partners. This extensive and exclusive distribution network guarantees that you will be reaching a new audience.

It is recommended that the transaction for your campaign be completed at your earliest convenience due to the demand for this keyword. Mamma.com has limited space available within our premium paid results set. As we are not a bid for placement search engine, we provide this inventory on a "first come first serve basis".

We will work together to create a comprehensive keyword list to broaden your reach. As your representative, it is my goal to better your campaign at all times; your ROI is a top priority.

Please contact me by phone or email to get started.

That is very interesting. Thanks for the info. I thought they'd go pure Goto by now.

laisha,

to my mind, this is nothing new (at least several months old - except, perhaps, for the email pitch ;).

keep in mind that a fair portion of Mamma traffic is from canada. something to consider, with regard to conversions, if its something you are watching. ie. do you ship to canada?

Hi All,

Mamma's traffic is not Canadian, only 7-10% happens to be. They have never done any marketing in their home country.

As far as i know, they're still not an auction engine. Sure they're trying to make a buck, but they're trying not to prostitute the engine and keep their meta-search as their primary draw for users. They only have their top 2 results reserved for ppc advertisers.
