Cheaper to run the account than turn it off for the day!

One more frustrated post regarding Yahoo/Overture

Yup. I'm reading here about the garbage sites feeding traffic to our sites even with Advanced and Content sites turned off so I finally go in and poke about in my log files. Yup. Bad stuff.

Hmmm. How do I deal with this. I need to evaluate if in spite of some of the traffic being garbage is it still profitable over all? Ok. It's *morning* here, lunch time in the UK where my ads show. Let's turn off the account until there's time to deal with this logically.

That evening I go back into the account and discover whereas the last several days my click charges have run 25 to 30 pounds per day on a 60 pound "daily budget", for the day they charged me over 100 pounds while the account was turned off most of the day! from 30 additional clicks from somewhere.

I guess it's all possible somehow since the daily stats are not real time but the coincidence is mindblowing.

So now I have to decide whether its cheaper to leave the account off or turn it on again. (I think I'm getting a headache.)
