Overture performance for all our campaigns have drastically fallen since 1st October. Has anyone been observing anything similar?

My reported conversions (from Overture) shot up again yesterday back to pre October levels. Anyone else?

Not for me...same old refers from unknow web sites that generate more traffic then Yahoo & MSN.

Interesting, they all trageting the same few selected keywords.

Can you say Findwhat... Yahoo is copying alot from Google, why can't they copy the Adwords setup and alow us to select where our ad shows and not forcing us to take those click fraud web sites.

I read so many reports of Google getting evil, but Overture annoy me more. Both are making stupendous amounts of money, but at least Google have the decency to make token upgrades to their interface & functionality (which outshone Overture in the first place).

I've also been experienceing a decline in traffic quality, but to be fair think this has more to do with the festive season and the particular product offering. Having said this, conversion rates for this campaign have fluctuated wildly since i started it in May, rising and falling 200%+ week to week whilst remaining reasonable stable on Adwords. Spoke to Overture and even they couldn't make any suggestions.

I want to share with an email I received from YSM support:

<snip>

That's the current status of the conversion problem with YSM.

Is this surprising?

I just finished building and uploading my campaign in the new MSN AdCenter BETA. They've done a pretty good job. There are bugs and annoyances to workout but this product should fall 2nd to AdW once it's fully launched. Clean interface, fast and pretty intuitive for the experienced PPC mgr. Now can they get the SE traffic to MSN?

> MSN AdCenter BETA

How does one receive an invite to sign up for the MSN beta?

Go to the MSN Search forum in WW. There's a link from MS AdCenter in the message.

Did anyone get a message from YSM that the conversion stuff is supposed to be working again? It is not working for me. We get conversions for our clients but do not see them in Overture?

In this state we will not expand any campaigns for now...

Since May this year, my traffic and conversions has fallen by more than 50% whereas the traffic and conversions from Adwords has increased by 25%.

Put it another way, in May the Adwords:Overture conversion ratio was 3.94:1 whearas now it is 13.5:1

I wonder if anybody else is seeing this trend?

According to YSM all conversions should be OK from november 24. Missed conversions will not be restored :(

Over this summer our company has received about a half a dozen calls from Y! syndication partners asking us to further push the Y! listings through our partners. I thought it was odd to get these calls from a "middle man" claiming they can get us a better rev share, and we always declined the offer.

At the end of the day there are many companies out there syndicating to syndication channels to other syndication channels, and I think Y! might be losing control of some of its distribution. This might cause issues depending of verticals they these unidentified partners are delivering traffic to.

Similar to the secondary engines, referring URL's are becoming crucial to Search Marketing efforts.

Even if there were missing conversions. Our overall traffic from Yahoo PPC has come down substantially these past few months. I wonder if anybody else is seeing this.

I received an email from YSM that the conversion counter is fixed yet I still see no conversion data.

My historical conversion rate for 2005 thru Sept. is 3.5% with YSM. I see 0% conversion rate for the first 5 days of December. The email stated the problem was fixed on December 1st.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
