We are currently running CPC campaign in AdWords and YSM for one of our client. This client is a major car manufacturer in Canada, we purchase relative keywords that have been accepted by the editorial team. In term of bids we are in first position for almost every word since there is no real competition and we are the highest bidder.

Here is the catch, eBay is always before us (first place), for almost any keyword we have in the system, however in the bidding system we are supposed to be first! There is no technical way to compete against them.

I sent an email to Overture Canada, explaining the situation and they told me that MSN did a partnership with eBay and they can’t do nothing. The same situation happened with another client in the tourism industry, Expedia was first with no way to surpass them.

I think this is not very ethical, what are you guys suggestions?

Are you seeing this on Yahoo, or just on MSN?

MSN sells keywords directly to advertisers, that are displayed above "Overture" ads.

I suggest you contact MSN directly.
