Well, after reading Be careful what you say [webmasterworld.com] I realize I probably just screwed up. I logged in the Overture account to make a few changes, and the entire section of keywords is pushed to the right side of the screen. Can you say bad style sheet? Anyway, it was so horrible looking that I had no faith or confidence to make my changes. But I did drop a note to Technical Support before logging out. I wasn't careful about what I said, either.

Hmmm.

Following up. I'm not quite ready to jump on the I hate Y/Overture bandwagon, but....

Shortly after I posted the first message I paused our account. Actually, that took two attempts. Clicking pause the first time didn't seem to hold. It's definitely showing to be paused right now.

So Yahoo (or anyone else), please tell me how someone just clicked one of my ads? How does that happen? That account has been on Pause for hours. But I just now got a visitor from one of my Overture ads.

Tell me I'm dreaming, and that I really didn't pay for that click.

Grandpa,

I have been noticing this as well. In fact one of my keywords I actually took offline due to large amount of fraudulent activity and was still receiving clicks up to 4 hours after the keyword was placed offline.

So, apparently, their system is not instant.

That has to be the understatement of the year :-)
