I registered account with Overture PPC about two weeks ago and since then I cannot login into acount.

This is what I do:
1. Open [secure.overture.com...]
2. Provide username and password that I used when creating account.
3. Enter the security code shown below
4. Click login

What I get:
User Log In…
to Sponsored Search and Local Sponsored Search
Login failed. Try again

No other explanations. What is it? Password incorrect? Login incorrect? Anything else?

Ok. I go further. Perhaps I forgot my password. I click on forgot your password link and I am redirected to the page [secure.overture.com...]

I provide my login and email and hit on "Get Hint" button. and... I get "error" that I noted only after dozen of submissions. It is in orange color and is not centered and very small and it says: "Username must be between 3 and 20 characters."

My username is ergo22by and I beleive that it is 8 characters. What am I to do now?

I tried to find how to contact Overture support. But even if this link exists it is hidden so smart that I could not find.

That is why I am asking help from Webmasterworld community. What was mistake that I made? How do I login to my account to manage it because I already see that click to my site already are being made through Overture.

Call them at 1-866-999-6837

If you ever do get into your account and need to contact support go to the bottom of any page and in very light type you will find a link.

Unfortunately I cannot phone to them. First I am overseas and unfortunately I am not sure in spoken English.

So if I cannot login to my account I cannot get support on how to login to my account?

Do they have support email?

Try clientservices@overture.com .

I had some correspondence with them in 2004 and that's what I used.

You might be able to try this as well:

We absolutely understand that any system downtime creates difficulties for you and we want to hear from you. YSM has set up comments-ysm@cc.yahoo-inc.com for this reason. I encourage you to use it. Your message will be read.

Something is wrong with logging to into the DTC in the U.S. on Sunday 9/11 at 8pm EST.

BostonSEO:

I just logged in but even with DSL it took forever to get the log-in page to load and longer to get logged in.

I am now in and the pages are loading fine once I was able to get past the initial hurdle.

Still having problems. The point is that this is ridiculous. Everyone at Yahoo whose in the programming department should be fired. Who is their CTO? Yahoo is screwing themselves; you'd think they'd actually be trying to improve things with MSN coming online soon and guaranteed to take 50% of Yahoo's business.

This has been going on for years with no improvement.

Even if they bring in a new interface as has been discussed I have a feeling that the people who design it will not be Over users and the whole thing will be a mess.

True. The place really went in the wrong direction when they made their 'upgrades' in July 2003 which resulted in the DTC being down for what a week? Since then it's been terrible.

MSN take my money as fast as possible.

This is unbelievable.

I wanted an alternative to "G" but this is ridiculous.

/I have been waiting for 12 days for a refund of $600 their clumsy system automatically charged me.

You need a PHD to understand their interfase.

Its a shame.

I have requested written documentation of what is continually causing these performance issues. I just raised hell with a Platinum level supervisor. Request credits people; our time is money. I'm getting a credit, you can too if you voice your frustration.

Getting in is deceiving; you can do some stuff and then it will just freeze up on you.

Yeah I added a bunch of search terms, jumped through the hoops, then upon submitting find that all the added terms didn't go into the editorial status. So I tried it again thinking my browser somehow had cached things, and again the same. There goes a wasted 30 minutes. Wonder who I send my bill to?

"Wonder who I send my bill to?"

Seriously get on the about that. We have power...exercise it. Demand a credit or say you'll move your money somewhere else. You have to be tough with them!

We started with YSM about three weeks ago.

I thought I was the only one who had these problems but I guess not!

And like others said, even if you get inside that doesn't guarantee things will work. If I submit a new ad group for approval and then try and create another it hangs and just reloads the add a title/description/url page.

Man their whole system is a joke.

The DTC has been very slow so far today. I have also been booted out twice while trying to update bids. The result is that it takes twice as long to get anything done!

[edit - been booted out again and now get a standard 'page cannot be displayed error'.

This just isn't good enough Yahoo!]

Yahoo can't do anything right; I know I am getting some good credits...but it's still not worth all the aggravation.

Doubt if the ads are still served cause the earnings look very bad today...
