For the past couple of months I have been bidding actively against one of Yahoo's biggest advertisers (they are a shopping comparison site) for finance related terms. The problem I am having is that they have another domain they are also using to take up another spot. The second domain is obviously owned by the first as the corporate logo is at the bottom of the landing page. After complaining to Yahoo three times they still continue to let this practice go on. My Yahoo reps have even agreed with me over the phone that this is a violation when I show it to them. Anyone else had this problem? I'm getting ready to start stuffing the results myself!

Let it go; you will not win this 'battle' with them. Yahoo basically lets any advertiser do anything they want if they are spending enough money. Trust me I've been in your shoes. I raised hell and nothing ever came of it.

We've seen that in one market and complained frequently. Eventually, we said to Overture: if you don't fix this, we're starting another account so was can have two ads on the same word. Their response: (wink, wink) "I think you're on the right track." So we started a second account and have two accounts bidding on the same words. This may not be their official policy, but it's certainly their unofficial policy.
