Yahoo/Overture login down more often than up

Is this normal?

I just became a Yahoo search advertiser last week. Since then I have only been able to look at my account status once. Is this normal? Do they have "business hours" I don't know about?

Yahoo/Overture having technical issues is as common as fog in San Francisco.

debvh - every time they do an 'update' at the weekend we know that there will be problems for the next day or two.

At the moment trying to log in is absolutely hopeless!

Fortunately I set my daily budget very low, because being new to the program I have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA how many clicks I am getting and what this is costing me.

I can't find any "contact us" type information on their website, is there anyone to call or email about this?

It won't do any good to call for changes to the account. I just spoke with them and their internal systems are down there too.

It's simply amazing that a publicly traded company can let so much revenue fall to the floor simply due to horrible execution. Can you imagine the boost they'd get if they ditched the editorial review and had a decent UI that actually worked once in a while? I'd happily shift another 20% of my Adwords spending right on over to Yahoo, but as things stand, they make it PAINFUL to spend money with them.

Unfortunately, although not the norm, it is not that irregular either. We login to our account at least 5-6 times a day, and it is very rare that a day can go by without at least some type of login problem. Or problems with reporting. Or problems with an interface that takes 1-2 minutes to load a single page, or submit a change.

Let's hope with their new interface on the way they can make it at least as reliable as Miva (which is not saying that much either really...). I agree, we would definitely spend A LOT more with Yahoo if they could improve to Google's level or reliability and acceptance of bids.

Totally agree, this sucks.

If they were to ditch the editorial team, make the system easier to use in general, be able to generate reports on the current days progress, email end of month reports before a fortnight of the next month has passed and let you log into the system once in a while it would make quite a good system :o)

Oh yeah, taking cash for clicks that have not happened could be seen as fraud.

Sort it out!

What sucks the most is that to find the number to call Overture you have to be logged in to Direct Traffic Center and then look for the tiny support link at the bottom of the page. What if you can't log in which is why you need to call them?
Answer: crawl through *cough* Google *cough* and find somewhere else that has their number.
Then register to get to the right thread.
Which is why I'm here, I'll no doubt be back tho as it looks quite interesting but after having suffered a major failure I don't have time, thanks to Windows updates and Norton clashing together and screwing up my registry and Norton Anti-Virus going mad and blah blah blah yaddah yaddah cut to the end, re-install everything, over 42GB lost, where's my back-up? where's that scrap of paper with my passwords on it? OOOPS! e-mail from Overture, card denied, PANIC! PANIC! PANIC! site down as well now! *sob like a baby* I want to give up and go home to Mom, they say bad things come in threes but this is unreal, all my nightmares at once.
Okay, I gotta go, way too much to do, maybe I should get some sleep when I have time!
