Off topic listings- Any recourse?

How did they get approved?

Is there any way to complain or request a review of advertisers who are taking spots on a keyword they have no business beign listed under? And I mean no business- there isn't even a 6 degrees of separation connection?

I don't get it- I have had a few listings that needed rewriting according to Overture, despite being identical to others for a virtually identical keyword, and then a clown like this comes in and gets approved for one of my main keywords despite being as unrelated as fish and bicycles. And I say that completely objectively- the keyword isn't even mentioned in their ad, their website, their headline- nothing. It seems like a complete error?

Anything I can do at all?

Hi

Welcome to the wonderful world of Overture :)

as I have said before here, there system simply doesn't work on any metric that a normal QA would define.

So, no there isn't anything you can do.

I would use the system to your advantage,

Devise what ever advert, keyword, posting you want and keep submitting it, eventually it will get accepted. Then you will sit there enjoying the revenues, while everyone else complains.

ps, This doesn't work in the long run, as their budgetting system is broken as well :(

Send a message to Overture via the support center. Identify the search term and paste in a copy of the ad. You will get a response back from Overture thanking you, but pomising only that an editor will review it. In the few times I've done this the irrelevant ad has always been removed.
