Awesome number of clicks through Overture

Wow this is great I'm getting a whole bunch of clicks through Overture...

wait a minute... it seems that many of them:

1. Have no referrer
2. Grab the HTML, but no css or images.
3. HTTP 1.0?

Obviously there's a possible explanation for each of these, but the instances seem much more numerous than with Adwords. Is there a way to ONLY allow ads on the big sites (Yahoo, MSN, etc), or am I stuck paying for fake clicks from "searchforcrap.info.biz".

You didn't specify if you have "both" precision match and content match turned "On" in your account.

If Content Match is on, I suggest you start there, and turn it off....

Content match has been disabled for a long time.

Precision Match is "all or none".....
I would check to see if Overture is billing you for the questionable clicks. If so, bring it to the attention of your account rep... Send logs/tracking/etc. to show you are making a serious request...

are you seeing the clicks on your side or in their numbers? i see tons of clicks every few weeks w/o codes. i've talked to ov about it extensively, but no one can give me a good answer. we're not charged for them, so it just a pain in the ass when i look at numbers.

We recently had a client refunded over $2000 worth of clicks who was only on Precision Match. Overture never caught this error, although it was a term that typically received $5 clicks a day. Very similiar case to this. Makes you wonder if Overture is policing their search partners.
