what search engines advertising through Overture will get you on. Google seems to not only put your sponsored links on Google but also on a bevy of other sites as well. Are there any sites that Google AdWords won't get you on that Overture paid listings will?

With Overture, can you do specific keywords like [steel widgets]. From what I see it looks as though you can only do both keywords like "steel widgets." If this is untrue please let me know.

Bubzeebub ... with Overture you only have broad and phrase matching ... however you dont have exact matching like google. Also the "widgets" and [widgets]
format of seperating the keywords into phrase and broad matching does not work on Overture .... You have to check the tick boxes and change "match type position" settings...

is this enough?

Yeah but if I were to bid on "steel widgets" who's to say I won't get a ton of people just looking for "steel" and not steel widgets?

Steel widgets : there has been a post laslty related to the fact that some have more click from Overture (which covers a large range of keywords) than Google.

It depends a lot of the products and the market you are in to. Someone was saying that in the travel sector, because competition is high and stupid, they do not care.

If you use Overture's standard match you won't be found for just "steel," but you will be found for "steel widget," "widgets steels," "steal wigit," and any other mispellings/plurals you can think of.
Not sure about advanced match, but I doubt you'd be found for just "steel;" perhaps you would be found for "badgers who swallowed steel widgets" and other such crazy search terms.

Standard match is similiar to exact match, but permutations of the keywords are included (misspellings, plurals, etc).

Advanced match is similiar to broad match, however, the words must be included so 'ring' never becomes 'jewelry'.
