Overture with ISPs and Browsers

They're listed under its affliliates. So whats the connection?

On its distribution network page Overture shows that its Affiliate Partners include ISPs and Browsers. I was wondering what is the connection? IS there a search tool on ISPs or Internet Explorer that have the ads show up in?

Yes. For example IE defaults to MSN Search I believe. And Comcast, etc have their own home pages for their users, with web search functions.
