Background:

We have over 100+ listings on Overture US and similar numbers on Overture UK. Decent budget (2k+ USD), non-stop traffic plan - customer since last 2 years.

Here is the problem:

All listings have the same description - We sold x hundreds of widgets till now.

Now this needs to be updated to - We sold x thousands of widgets till now.

-As the business grew over period of time :)

I wrote to the customer support to update my description - they wrote back saying "do it yourself".

I don't want to submit the entire set of listings again as the general thumb rule is submit 100 listing - they will disapprove 10 of them...every time I updated the description, I have lost 10 keywords :(

Please help...I am sure - am not alone.

It if its one description across 100 keywords and it needs an update, doesn't sound like much work. Why not just update it?

That's pretty much standard operating procedure at Overture. Even agency accounts where there is a client service person/team are subject to editorial review.

It has been a while since I tried it but this was what I discovered at the time. UK accept bulk submission spreadsheets but the US don't. Submit a bulk spreadsheet to UK and then ask them to transfer listings to US account (worked with a new account anyway so may or may not be a helpful tip)

This may come a little bit late but I suggest the following:

1. get on the phone. Call tech support and ask for Bulk Submission (the US offers this if you spend enough money, and 2k should be a entry point).

2. Go to "Manage Precision match"

3. Go to "Manage Categories"

4. Select "All listings"

5. Click "Download". This will save all of your listings to a spreadsheet, where you can update the ads and then upload once you get the bulk upload permissions.

You may want to mix this with Running Scareds tactic, if they do not approve you for the bulk submission.

I went and changed everything manually - took a hour of my work anyways good thing is they didn't decline any listings.
