Can anyone give me tips and/or suggestions for maintaining my ad campaign on Overture? I just deposited $3500 into our account and within four days it is all gone - frustrating. I sent a message to the support center regarding this issue, our account is drained very quickly and our traffic/leads remain the same. I thought that maybe I am not maintaining or running our ad correctly, therefore, I am turning to the forums for help.

Thanks

Start reading the posts in this forum. Most Strategies are addressed here already.

As far as your funds being depleted so quickly- What positions are you bidding for?

We bid on the highest paid word on the internet - Mesothelioma. However, I only have approximately 10 keywords as I do not want un-necessary clicks. Our industry is highly competitive and I fear that these competitors have drained our account by false clicks. I do not want to assume that this is happening.

I would assume there is a lot of click fraud in your field.

They (Overture and some WW members) say that they have measures in-place to prevent this but I don't trust 'em. At least not 100%.

I usually don't deposit more money than I'm willing to spend over a few days time.

Given the competitiveness and high stakes of your keyphrase(s) space, you may want to consider hiring a PPC campaign manager.

Did you opt out of the contextual advertising?

You obviously need to target your keywords better and/or prequalify visitors better with your ad copy. Sticky me your URL and some sample keywords if you like and I'll try to help you out.
