Overture overlapping my other PPC programs?

Overture usage along Kanoodle, FindWhat, Goodle AdWords

I am currently using Overture at about $600/month alongside Google Adwords, Kanoodle, and FindWhat. I'm considering other programs as well; ie. LookSmart, Ah-ha, etc. My question is this: Can I become over-saturated in the PPC market and actually be competing against myself? Do any of these programs overlap themselves?

If you're worried about your ad showing up multiple times for one search on any particular search engine, you should be alright. To the best of my knowledge, Kanoodle provides results for Dogpile, Metacrawler, Webcrawler and , Search.com; Overture is for Yahoo, Lycos, MSN, Altavista, and some smaller guys. AdWords is exclusively for Google. I'm not sure about the others, but you should not be experiencing any advertising overlap. On the plus side, you will have enormous reach!

>>AdWords is exclusively for Google<<

Not quite. by default (even though you can change it) Adwords also appears on AOL and various other not-insignificant search engines, plus thousands of Adsense sites.

I wouldnt worry too much about duplication. Firstly its good for branding and brand recall/exposure/recognition. Secondly its PPC so you dont pay for exposures, but for clicks - its highly unlikely that someone will click on your ad twice if it appears twice on the same page, and maybe even if they see it twice in the same week or so.

The key to me is to word your ads differently according to the PPC provider. Generally for us Adwords is better for btob and professional areas, (maybe not AOL though), and OV is generally better for broad-consumer categories.

Just a couple more that overlap...

Google Adwords are in Ask.com "sponsored results"

I believe goclick feeds into ah-ha. There are a bunch of other overlapping programs but can't think of them off the top of my head.

I wouldn't worry about overlap much though, unless a lot of your terms are coming one after another. If the terms are well spread out from each other in results then its just improves your CTR and doesn't lower conversion much, in my opinion.
