Hi, Ive been on overture and adwords for 1 year and its been a smashing success....but the problem is i have maxed out my keywords and clickes. I have a large budget for advertising($10,000 per month). Does anyone know any other way a can advertise other the google or overture (or looksmart...which sucks ) I see that google has some kind of ad deal for those who spend $5000 per month.....can anyone tell me anything about that?

thanks

You can do one of 2-3 things:

1) More closely manage your keywords to take advantage of the inefficiency of your keyword campaign. There are tools out there that can help you manage your keywords as a portfolio & in near-real time, with the result of you getting more click-throughs and sales for the same spend.
<snip>

2) Start doing contextual advertising with Google, Overture, and some of the other contextual advertising companies. The clickthrough rates won't be as high, nor will overall traffic, but it is another source.

3) Take advantage of the high-end analytics offerings available today to figure out what other keywords you could implement. Going broad with your keywords is your best bet for getting alot more traffic. Folks like eBay, Orbitz, Yahoo and other large retailers have keyword lists that reach into the hundreds of thousands - that effort is their competitive advantage.

You probably haven't maxed out your keywords. If you are spending that much a month, then you should be getting into the platinum program soon (if not already). Ask your platinim rep to have the team pull a keyword list for you.

Another option is to look over your logs. How do people find you oganically?

Lastly, think outside the box (in cliche terms) in order to find new keywords. I've been thinking about once a month that we have maxed ours and then bam, some new avenue shows up to prove me wrong. If nothing else, there are a few companies out there that will work on a commission basis to find you keywords, in other words, they will find you keywords and in exchange, they get a percentage of the sales those keywords bring in.

hannamyluv, can you share the names of those firms that brainstorm keywords on a commission basis?

thanks

I can't remember the name of the company but they called us a few month ago and that was the offer. We manage ours inhouse, so I turned them down but I do know they exist.

The same effect can be accomplished through an affiliate program (if you have one running already, all the better). There are several people here who would work on commission to find you new words or you could approach a few of your affiliates to do this. Actually, if you have an affiliate program, you probably already have a few people doing this on their own.

Overture should be thrilled to come up with more keywords for you. They offer to do it for me everytime we talk.
