Wow. T Online must have been desperate to get away from YO. Either they failed to run this past the lawyers, or else vetted it and said the hell with YO, lets get out!

In the US pretty much everything gets run past the lawyers. Not sure how litigous they are in Germany and what their customs are in regard to vetting things past lawyers.

From a PR perspective, opening the cage on their 800 pound gorillas does not look good.

But it is the natural reaction in the US, one that intentionally or unintentionally also serves as a WARNING to any other affiliates contemplating a defection to Google.
