Just saw several adword type box ads in the right hand space on Yahoo. Is this a new Overture offering?

With some searching on ww, I found my answer. Looks like the yellow box ads have been around since Jan. 2003. Here is the string that provided the most info.

They are ads sold exclusively by Yahoo sales reps. I ran some ads for a company at $13cpm and was losing money. I was not impressed at all with the click thru numbers...not to mention the ad size is VERY small.

When will yahoo ever learn to have its webpages uncluttered. I never even bother to visit Y these days..except straight out to Y.mail :)

actually noticed this back in Feb. my colleagues did the same search on Yahoo! on their computers and the traditional listings showed up. It was only happening on my computer. Very odd. I figured I got cookied at some point and they were simly doing some testing.

I am thinking abuot getting some of those ads. Some can be real cheap. If the keyword does not get a ton of traffic you can get it for $10 a month. It is also a good way to get on a page for $10 a month that you would have to spend a lot more on overture to be on the first page. It also just depends on the invetory that Yahoo has available.
