Is one better than the other?

Is the Overture ppc program better than using google ads
or are there really no differences in terms of getting
results? Thanks!

[As soon as you make it a complete chose your poison then we'll have people opting for, Yahoo,
Google, MSN and AOL and that will be the end of PPC.]

Webdiversity, I assume you really meant to type "choice" so I am going to run with that theme...

Yup -- "complete choice" -- that is what my clients demand.

And that is what they have demanded and gotten for the over 20 years I have been buying advertising.

Why is "choice" such "poison?"

You are naiive to think THAT will be the end of PPC. But you are correct that it WILL be the undoing
of a PPC company that does not offer it. Gee, didn't that just happen this week to Looksmart (yup -- they
became PPC - don't argue otherwise)? Who's next?

Believe me, in the world of advertising (and many other worlds) CHOICE RULES!

My current results for the conversion counters this month are

Adwords: Conversion Rate - 1.74%, Ave CPC - $0.31, Cost per Conversion $18.00

Overture: Conversion Rate - 2.79%, Ave CPC - $0.19, Cost per Conversion $6.65

However, this is not the complete picture. We get 4 times as much conversions from Google as Overture.

Therefore, even though Overture looks much more effective, we will have to work with adwords in order to get the extra orders. One problem is that clicks from Overture costs less than those of Adwords.
