Just received a letter from Overture saying their Featured Site Units (FSU) agreements on Alta Vista are cancelled effective July 15, 2003 - adding that I should contact my AV rep on how to purchase paid listings directly from Overture.

...I don't think so.

Can Overture really afford to do this?

Karupt. AV is now owned by OV, so at this point all it means it is just the paymaster that has changed and they are possbly consolidating AV/ATW PFI/sponsored/featured-site-type payments and management centrally. What they may do later is anybody's guess.

The direct traffic centre is going down over the weekend for 14 hours and it would probably include some changes to incorporate the purchase of FAST and AV.

Who knows, there might even be Overture PFI....
