Overture is cutting 10 percent of its workforce

OVER (what a nice ticker symbol, ha?) stated in a new press release that they will cut 100 jobs. Read the full press release here [corporate-ir.net].

The release also says that in April "the average price per paid introduction (PPC) reached $0.40". Furthermore OVER plans to start "Web search before the end of 2003".

You missed out an important part: "As part of the Altavista acquisition"... AV is the one that needs to save money and OVER doesn't need 2 people doing the same job
