Come on, someone must be able to think of a way round Overture not letting you pause listings?

I was kind of looking to pause/resume on a daily basis...but timing is critical...

I'm told that there are some bid management software that can do that. You will have to check around because we don't discuss software here at this time.

The only way you can do it is to call(or email?) them and request a pause on your account.

You could also manually lower your bids each night, but you still could be getting clicks, just at a lower cost.

To my mind this is and has always been the biggest omission from O's offering. There are thousands of legitimate cases where advertisers may want to do this - seasonal listings, booksellers waiting for a title to be reprinted, etc., and many of these need real-time control over the listing.

The great benefit of PPC is the ability to turn on and off a tap when sales are slow - there is no equivalent in offline business. A zero bid facility would allow customers to play when they want to and could only result in many new clients for Overture.
