Overture and customer service

In the past two quarters I have spent close to $50,000 with Overture. I am still at gold level. I called today to find out when I would be bumped up to platinum (I really want spreadsheet submission).

I was told that the choices for this quarter had already been made. I would have to wait until July. When I asked why, I was told that because I had not been with them a year yet (only 8 months now), I would not be considered, just to make sure I don't drop out of the program.

Excuse me!?! Did they want to keep me as a customer or were they hoping that if they make my job as difficult as possible, I might go away and they wouldn't have to bother with me?

Seems to me that if you had a customer who was spending the big bucks you would want to go out of your way as soon as possible to ensure that they continue to spend the big bucks.

By the time I get bumped up, I will probably be spending enough for diamond. Of course, I could get there a lot faster if I had spreadsheet submission, but hey, let's make sure I'm really in this for the long run right...

Sorry for the rant. Just had to vent.
