I've been invited to attend(virtually, of course) this free online seminar on Wednesday, April 2 at 2 p.m. (EST) / 11 a.m. (PST).

It is to be lead by experienced Overture marketing professionals. Sounds good to me. If it's free, it's for me! Seriously, I will try to attend because I'm no Overture expert.

Anyone else recieve this email invitation?

Actually, no I have only spent $75 so far. Maybe it's for new clients. Or maybe they saw my ads and thought, "This guys need the seminar". :)

Seems it must be targeted for newer advertisers, or maybe one's who have complained a lot?

I started using OV recently, but like Birdman have spent very little with them and a lot of energy getting listings and writing editors.

I guess the bottom line is they want us to spend more with them.

I got an email about this in the morning.

I also got a friendly call from a overly cheerful overture rep who wanted to see if I had any questions becuase we are new and have spent a "significant" amount of money (maybe $5k ish).

He also wanted to verfiy our credit card which was the 3 or 4th time they have done that. (Did Overture have a big fraud problem at some point?)

Anyway looks like its just for new accounts.

It was not full card info, just type of card, and name and address of cardholder. Account name and cardholder name are different and I think that makes them nervous.
