Today I got a big package from Ah-Ha.com containing their promo materials and marketting stuff. The package included:

1. Business Card CD-Rom
2. Ah-Ha.com Sticky Notes

1. Lightbulb shaped package of skittles with their logo on it. and their slogan >only the good stuff (my favorite ;)

1. Media Advertising Package

This address and name I got it at wasn't affiliated with my company we have campaigns running with or did have. So it seems they got some data from somewhere..... ;) Maybe mined DMOZ data of web hosting companies? Who knows but I like the skittles and sticky notes (write passwords on them)

Thanks Ah-Ha ;)

Next you'll probably get a phone call asking if you received the package, then an email trying to sell you over priced banner ads, than a phone call asking how they can help, then another phone call asking you received the first phone call, then a spat of emails, then ...

I think the online sales market is becoming more like the main stream real world sales environment. keep people sweet and they will stay your customer.

Last week I got a boat load of stuff from a site asking for funny work stories. I sent them one and got an email from them saying that if they use it they will send me something. I thought, right, whatever, they will use my story and not tell me. But, I got a wrist pillow thingy from them. Very nice and comfy. They say it's a thank you. I say- No, Thank You!

Google Adwords sent me a fleece blanklet throw with their logo, but the Overture sterling silver pen is the best. :-)

So true. We spend a pittance at ah-ha and I am still constantly deleting their sales pitches from my voice mail.
