This has probably been discussed here already but I am unable to find the search utility to dig into these forum. Sorry about that.
Using Adwords one can choose to be displayed in the countries he likes. But what about Overture? Will my listing be displayed in local versions of Yahoo, Altavista, Msn, and the like?
If not, how can I get into them with ppc listings?

I am talking about Canada and Australia, not the UK or other countries where Overture has a local system

The Search function [searchengineworld.com] It's available at the top of the page, just below your username, and You have Mail. (that is if you have any mail)

Overture and Altavista makes a deal for US and Canada [webmasterworld.com]

[Edit]Keep on adding links[/EDIT]

Hi spaidermen, (love the nick!)

I can see Overture listings in local versions in Canada.

You have to ways to search this forum. The 'site search' feature is on top menu. You can also use the library links where the best treads are kept.

You can find more about here reading Paynt's Welcome post. [webmasterworld.com]

Enjoy!

Thank you very much!
I was unable to restrict the search for date and topic.
I've found this [webmasterworld.com...]
dated last january.
Has anything changed since then? Still no PPC in Australia?

I guess you will have to wait until our Australian friends wake up. ;)

I can't wait!
As for Canada... only Altavista has made a deal or also the other yankee Overture partners?

OVER ads can only be seen on MSN.com from Australia.

On Yahoo Australia only Looksmart ads are shown.

On NineMSN which is the local MSN portal.......only Looksmart ads can be found.

LOOKSMART has Yahoo Australia and New Zealand as well as about 85% of the entire online ad market.

But esentially portals are now employing geo specific access.

Although when searching Yahoo.com Looksmart sponsored listings are shown there with Australian results.

as far as targeting Canada goes anyway you get better results marketing to the .com world more than trying to do just Canadian stuff.

Unless you are going for the french market then it changes.

Exhaustive post Jill!
Anyway I don't want to target canada (or australia), I just want to know if my worldwide reach extends to those using .ca or .com.au versions of major SEs with sponsored listings. I know it's a minority but why deny them?

So what about Canada? Only Altavista?
