Having found ROI's dropping off on Google and Overture I have looked around at PPP options but would appreciate any direct experience of you guys who are familiar with PPC.

Set up costs on the likes of cCommission Junction a bit too hihj just to take a punt.

Thanks in advance

PPP? Is it the same as Pay Per Action? Like you pay only when somebody signs up for your service?

Yes, sorry I meant Pay per performance where there is an agreed split of actual sales revenue, much like affiliates. The model I was reading up on was Commission Junction.

We looked at Commission Junction too, but came to the conclusion (as you are thinking now) that the set up was far too expensive to be worth the jump.

You can find SEO companies and marketers that work on pure (or partly) Pay Per Action but they will usually require some kind of third party tools for conversion tracking.

I have a few PPA deals running and it works good for both me and the clients. They only pay for actions so they completely let me do my work, target the keywords I think is right, and generally do the things I know works. It gives me more freedom to work and it gives them a great deal of security because they practically only pay me a percentage of the increased profit I bring them.

Howver, tracking is still a big problem. Not that it can't be solved, it's just very pricy. I know there are some new solutions ready to hit the market but what I've seen in the cheap end of the market so far is just not good enough. At least, thats my personal experience :)
