[biz.yahoo.com...]

Many searches that didn't used to show Overture results now do.

They are driving their customers into the arms of Google.

Man, I just did a couple of searches and the results were hideous. Nothing but crap. Bad move by M$.

"MSN 8, which will launch this fall, includes new features designed to simplify and personalize how people use the Internet"

From what the article states, the changes are not yet in effect (and will be done this fall). What types of changes in Overture results are you seeing???

For a handful of our most searched words, they used to not result in Overture results on MSN. Many of them do now. That's the sum total of my checks of this change. The change in our experience happened to coincide with this announcement.

MSN 8, which will launch this fall, includes new features designed to simplify and personalize how people use the Internet. For example, the new version allows users to easily send pictures in e-mail, pay bills electronically and, for parents, restrict what their children see on the Web and who they e-mail.
...
but the new features are for its paying Internet subscribers rather than for those who visit MSN's free news, finance and entertainment Web sites.

Does that sound like AOL, or is it just me? THAT would be a major clash of the titans.
