Google Adwords: Paying for extra clicks?

Whats the deal here?

I'm new to affiliate promoting so maybe there is something going on here that I do not understand.

Heres what I have:

An affiliate account with example1.com
A simple webpage: example2.com
and an account with google adwords select.

The link that I have placed with google adwords is my affiliate link that goes directly to example1, not to my webpage.
Google makes me identify it as an affiliate link in the ad.

In my first day, I have 37 clicks from google, yet when I log onto my affiliate account at 1stsearchranking, it shows 10 click-throughs.

Does this mean that although 37 people went to the site from google, only 10 clicked on any links at the site? or is there somthing I'm missing?

It's possible that some of those clicks on your affiliate link never made it to your site.

Maybe check to see what kind of click verification system Google has. Usually CPC's have some sort of quality control so you do not pay for spiders or such.
