I see that Dealtime has spammed...I mean made deals with...AltaVista, Lycos, and others to have results listed on certain keywords. Has anyone had any luck with good traffic from them? The costs per click are not disclosed on their site. Is it expensive? Is it worth the time?

[Moderators: I put this message in the PPCSE forum because Dealtime charges per click. If there is a more appropiate forum for this, I do not know what it would be, so please forgive me. ;)]

Cost depends on what category your in ( more competative more costly)
but in general they are quite pricey.

We were quoted 35p a click for the books category, got them down to 30p but have decided to go with Kelkoo who were only 22p.

Have no figures as yet for amount of sales from each click but expecting about 20%.

Conversion rate is a lot worse than what they say it will be. More like 5%. Surprising considering my product line - people know what they need before they even start to shop, they see the price, clickthrough and still don't buy?

Got an offer of 25p a click today!

5% so thats 5 quid for each sale! Thats not a good ROI for me
