Good find guoqi, interesting that broadband is such a high percentage of the overall inline figures. Wish I could read Chinese, I guess I'll just have to wait for the English version.

Great information guoqi! We may want to warn people that the entire report in PDF format is 90 pages long.

This is a very thorough report. It breaks down information in very easy to understand categories with lots of graphs and charts. If you have even a rudimentary understanding of Chinese I think you can get a lot of information from this report. CNNIC is quite good about providing information in English as well, so I'm sure we'll have a Woz version soon enough. ;)

It seems that Yahoo have a synopsis [news.yahoo.com] online.

Internet usage in China has skyrocketed in recent years, up from 33.7 million users in 2001.

It's fastest-growing country.
China is Oracle's fastest growing market. Dell has sold 60% more PCs to China in its 2004 fiscal year than in 2003, making it Dell's fourth largest single country market.
To get a Chinese business license, many foreign companies are required to partner with a Chinese company as per their government policy.

Thanks for the link songmaike.

The 16th Survey Report (2005/7/26) on that page is only 30 pages long, but it has a lot of the important information from the Chinese version. That's a great source of general market information in English for those who are interested.
