I have been thinking of opening an ecommerce site catering only to India, selling luxury items like branded wallets, lighters etc. Has anyone else opened a similar site for India only. What is the response etc?

Most of the internet users are less than 30 years old and other than those in the IT/finance industry they dont have much purchasing power. Also getting targetting visitors will be difficult

I have a complete application written for whole salers, Its a directory can be used in India or in any other country, where whole salers can list their site, make banner ads and contact each other. You can make trial periods for memberships.
Anyone is intersted is intrested in setting up such a site?
The site is already running in UK successfully.
