Sensis to "pump up" Aussie search.

Is it the Sensible approach though?

According to an article from ZDnet Australia [zdnet.com.au], Sensis is planning on beefing up its search database and interface soon. (Thanks for alerting me BT)

Apparently, the plan is to include data from out-of-the-way sources such as universities (where have we heard this before?) and other proprietry data, and also update the user interface.

You will pardon me if I sound a little less than impressed, but I fail to see how this can immediately improve the two basic criteria of a successful Search Engine:- Search Quality and User Traffic.

Still, I suppose one lives in hope.
