I could not find any services that would show me an expired .com.cn or .cn domain dropping. Could you help me out?

I am not aware of anything like that for CN names thsung. Not sure if the market would warrant anything yet until it grows some more.

I noticed you didn't get much response to this thread: expired .com.cn domains [webmasterworld.com] over in the Domains forum...

There are quite a number of registrars handling .cn business since CNNIC opened up the top level domains. However, like Woz says there might not be much demand yet. This is the first request I've seen here...

I'm so tired of buying .com domains. There is too much competition and I'm tired of it. I wanted to know if there is a market for foreign domains such as chinese domains because from what i've read its going to be bigger than the US market in 5 years ... please correct if i'm wrong. So, its better to jump in now and beat the crowd. =)

Any webmasters going to create this service for me? I'd be the first one to sign up!

Also keep in mind that they are still throwing around the idea of local language domain names...or domain names using Chinese characters. This has been on the radar for several years now, and every year they make an announcement saying that the system is just about ready to launch...it hasn't happened yet, but probably will someday. If that ever happens you'll have a real domain buying spree for Chinese names. The .cn names have been out for about a year now, and I haven't seen a real rush to pick up names. I think you're looking at a real niche market still.

If you can't read Chinese, do you at least know the pinyin/Romanized spellings of Chinese language keywords? I think that your market for .cn domain names would naturally gravitate toward Chinese language names.

If you're looking to invest in CTLDs instead of .com as an investment vehicle, surely it's an obvious prerequisite that you be able to read the target language!

If not, how on earth will you know what names to register?

.cn's are available in Romani Characters as well as Native Language.

Woz,

I don't think the Chinese character domains are mainstream yet. I thought they were still relying on an IE-only browser plug-in still. Has this changed?

Not as far as I know bill, didn't mean to imply otherwise.
