Has Looksmart Japan price gone up?

It is more than we paid a year ago.

I was looking into Looksmart Japan the other day and the price seemed to have gone up for paid listings. It seems to be about 50% more than it was a year ago. I am not sure if this is just an exchange rate issue. Sure it is still less than Yahoo.co.jp, but so it would want to be. Way too much at the current price.

I could not find any mention of a PPC service. Are they not offering this in Japan?

LookSmart prices may have gone up a bit, but not that much. I think you're seeing new options like the one where the editor will come up with your site title and description for you. The standard do-it-yourself rate seems about the same. They've never been too far from Yahoo Japan's pricing.

Looksmart SubSite Listing [btlooksmart.com] is their form of PPC. If you try any of these out let us know how they go. I know you haven't had great luck with this company in the past. ;)

Last week or so we have been trying out Google Adwords in Japanese. No conversions to date yet, but the price is much, much better these days. :)
