Would you consider money worth investing in these SEs? I know, for example, that the results of Yahoo Japan, come from Google AdWords and Overture. Do they appear as sponsored links, or are they "mixed" with the other search results? in your opinion: better spending money in Google and Overture campaigns to have also a good Yahoo appearence, or the classic Directory submit would be the best option?
Do you have any link (in english, please!) where I can find interesting information about Chinese and Japanese SEs?
Many thanks,
Luca
Would you consider money worth investing in these SEs?I've seen good returns on Yahoo Japan listings. They still show a lot of directory listings in the SERPS and generally are worth the investment. I'm not a huge LookSmart fan, but some people have reported varying degrees of success. If you have to choose one or the other I'd say a Yahoo listing will give you more.

Also, interesting, is there is a reason you are avoiding the Korean market? (much larger internet market, in terms of e-commerse market penetration). I know Korea has recently introduced PPC to Korea (www.zingu.com) and they are giving KRW25,000 (about $21) in free-bidding for first time sign-up (minimum bid is KRW50, about 3 cents). Though since PPC is new there, I don't know what kind of results you will see. There looks to be an english version soon, but none present right now (as of this post). However, I know they respond to english email contacts and will help foreign based sites sign-up. Overture will launch its PPC services in Korea soon as well.
