Looksmart or Inktomi submission

Hi,
Im wanting to get listed mainly in Australian Search engines but there seems a big price difference between the US$39 for inktomi & the A$440 for Looksmart. If I paid for the Inktomi inclusion wouldn't msn australia pick this up then GoEureka, Optusnet etc. anyway? What benefits would there be for me to pay the extra money and go with looksmart?

Position Position Position

The Looksmart directory listings all come before the inktomi. This seems to include all of the international (read USA/UK) listings as well before the inktomi (they seem to be more localised) show up.

Using inktomi to try to obtain a position in Ninemsn may mean you are several pages back. Ninemsn does say where it is obtaining the results from, so you can see where you would show up.

Generally the traffic generated drops significantly after the first three to five positions, so position 25 or lower will not generate you much traffic.

Does this mean I would recommend Looksmart?
NO! I do not feel that I have received anything like value for money from either of them.

Focus on Google or if you are really keen for traffic, use their PPC Adwords program.
