Hi all,

I have an Australian web site and was wandering if anyone has had any experince with Web Wombat in Australia. Is the paid for inclusion of $50/ year worth it? I have tried the free listing option but after 3 months still nothing. Does anyone have any experince with the potential trafiic available from this regional Search engine? Me website has wide appeal but only in Asutralia.

I doubt it.... if you are going to pay, then choose one of the majors. You'd probably be best with Inktomi which feeds some of the Australian directories such as NineMSN and Anzwers.

I'm assuming that you are already in Google and have submitted to ODP?

To reach that extra bite of the Australian market, maybe it is worth $50 a year. Depends on your vertical I suppose, but I would do it after you have exposure in Google AU, Looksmart AU and Altavista AU.

I have concentrated on Webwombat for tough markets where it is hard to rank on the big boys and got some reasonable numbers. Not with the paid inclusion though.

Anzwers is powered by Google these days.

If you've got $50 to spare it may be worth giving it a go. If not, I'd agree with the others here put it towards a larger player.
