What I would like to find out if I am missing significant traffic or if my mix of traffic seems strange.
It seems real tough to get new sites into Infoseek lately. Maybe I'm just having a dry spell ;) I have some older sites that get a trickle of traffic, but not too much. I think some others here were doing better with Infoseek than I.
Also, didn't you say you had paid LookSmart listings? How do those fit into this list?
A very small amount through MSN and Biglobe, but that is about it.
What a waste of money.
We don't think we phrased the submission very well and they stuffed it up even more. We have tried hard to have it changed since, but with no luck.
We were very careful when we made the submission on Yahoo! and it appears to have worked well.

Infoseek has been good to me lately. Over the last four months Infoseek referals have quadrupled for no apparent reason but sadly Goo has been steadily declining.
www1.odn.ne.jp/
www.google.co.jp/
www.okazaki.gr.jp/
google.yahoo.co.jp/
cgi.search.biglobe.ne.jp/
those five dwarf the rest at present, and odn.ne.jp accounts for nearly 35% of our Japanese traffic...I haven't as yet done much promotion in Japanese though
Yes the traffic is basically for golf related tours, but I also have a few doorway pages with general info about the Gold Coast.
I have very high ranking pages with killer keywords on most Japanese Search Engines that generate lot's of visitors and bookings Also I've made inroads into conference and incentive tours.
The following is a little off topic but relevant IMHO because the Japanese market can very rewarding and they love using Interent to research, plan holidays, make bookings, etc.
The largest Internet based booking I had was 522 rounds of golf in three days from a very large Japanese conference group.
Over 17 years experience in the Japanese Inbound Tour industry has given me the knowledge to compete successfully with the large Inbound Agents and some of them are not too happy about it.
