Skype hopes to launch paid call service in China

i hope Skype will bring more and more value added services to us

According to this article [urlchina.cn], Skype is now talking with telecom operators to land its computer-to-telephone call service in Mainland China.
I have used SKYPE'S computer-to-computer voice calls for half an year in my office. It really saves our cost.:)

I had just read that China was looking into software that would block Skype calls altogether. Maybe the Chinese government is playing hardball here for a reason. They probably don' want a free channel of communication out of the country that they can't monitor, or one that circumvents various state run systems. Skype calls are encrypted end to end. That might be a worry for them.
