.cn and .com.cn domains - server locations

Hi,

I am looking for info on .cn and .com.cn domains with regard to where servers for these domains must be located. In a previous life, I heard that a .cn or a .com.cn domain must be on a server located in PRC. Is this the case?

If so, can this server host only a home page, which then redirects to Simplifed Chinese pages hosted outside PRC? Or must the entire site be on that server?

FYI - our company is registered in China and servers there already exist...

I have .cn domains hosted outside China, so there's no problem there. I don't believe there is a hosting requirement any longer for the .com.cn domains either (if there was one). I don't see any on a quick perusal of the CNNIC site.

Thanks, Bill. I also didn't come across anything on the CNNIC site. Good for confirmation of .cn outside PRC!
