Is it legal to accept payments, as an individual, for services rendered, in us dollars?
The payments would be credited to a Rupee savings account in India, in an Indian bank.
The transfer is by wire, and the bank converts the Dollars into Rupees at the time of the credit.

Of course it's legal!

No third world country objects to receiving US dollars, it's getting them in the first place they find difficult!

The amounts are less than a thousand dollars monthly.
What amounts are *not* acceptable?

I didn't get the 'third world countries' bit. What about UK/ France/ Germany/ Switzerland. Do they object to receiving US dollars?
