.cn upgrades to Asia's most popular domain

up to July this year, the registered cn domain name is 720,000. At the same time, .jp is 630,000(am i right, bill?) .cn domain name has grow up to the number 1 domain in Asia countries. Believe or not,people registered 100,000 domain in just one monuth of July.
We may conclude the value of .cn domian is increasing.

According to a June 2005 JPRS article [jprs.co.jp] .jp registrations as of June 1, 2005 exceeded 700,000, reaching 724,233. As a result, .JP has got a No.1 ranking among all ccTLDs in Asia, and 7th among the 248 ccTLDs worldwide. The Japanese registry has a few years head start, but you're right that at .cn is increasing a lot faster. I'm sure very shortly China domains will eclipse those of Japan.

It's natural. Just think the population of China. I know some young IT professionals like to register a myname.com or myname.cn. :)
