The results are in - No!

"It was New Zealand's first ever "Straw Poll" to determine local Internet community support for the creation of a new Internet domain."

"But votes cast for the new domain reached only 65.47 percent of the total vote when a threshold of 70 percent was required. A total of 391 votes were cast."

A disappointing turnout.
